10 Days Samburu, Meru, Lake Nakuru, Masai Mara, Lake Naivasha, Amboseli & Tsavo Safari

Day 1: Nairobi – Samburu National Reserve

After an early breakfast, depart Nairobi and drive north through Nanyuki, crossing the equator en route to Samburu National Reserve. The journey offers scenic views of Mt. Kenya and rural landscapes.
Arrive in Samburu in time for lunch at your lodge. In the afternoon, enjoy your first game drive in this unique semi-arid reserve, home to rare northern species such as the Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, Beisa oryx, reticulated giraffe, and gerenuk.
Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Full Day in Samburu National Reserve

Spend the day exploring Samburu with morning and afternoon game drives.
Look out for elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, and crocodiles along the Ewaso Nyiro River — the park’s lifeline. Between game drives, relax at your lodge or visit a Samburu village to learn about their culture and traditions (optional).

Day 3: Samburu – Meru National Park

After breakfast, drive to Meru National Park, one of Kenya’s least-crowded and most beautiful parks.
Arrive for lunch, then enjoy an afternoon game drive through lush landscapes, rivers, and forests teeming with wildlife such as elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, and lions. Visit the Rhino Sanctuary for a chance to see both black and white rhinos.

Day 4: Meru – Lake Nakuru National Park

After an early breakfast, depart for Lake Nakuru National Park via the scenic highlands and the Great Rift Valley escarpment.
Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch. In the afternoon, head out for a game drive to spot flamingos, pelicans, rhinos, buffaloes, and possibly leopards along the shores of the lake.
Lake Nakuru is also one of the best parks to see both black and white rhinos.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, drive to Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya’s most famous safari destination and home to the Big Five.
Arrive for lunch at your lodge or camp.
In the afternoon, enjoy your first game drive across the rolling savannahs, where you may spot lions, elephants, buffaloes, cheetahs, and giraffes against the backdrop of a stunning sunset.

Day 6: Full Day in Masai Mara

Spend the day exploring the vast Masai Mara ecosystem.
Morning and afternoon game drives offer excellent opportunities to see predators hunting and herds of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles grazing.
(Optional) Experience a hot air balloon safari at sunrise for breathtaking aerial views of the Mara plains, followed by a champagne breakfast (extra cost).
You may also visit a Maasai village to interact with the locals and learn about their culture.

Day 7: Masai Mara – Lake Naivasha

After breakfast, depart Masai Mara and drive to Lake Naivasha, arriving in time for lunch.
In the afternoon, enjoy a boat ride on the lake to see hippos, fish eagles, and a variety of water birds.
You’ll also visit Crescent Island, where you can walk among giraffes, zebras, and antelopes in a peaceful, predator-free environment.

Day 8: Lake Naivasha – Amboseli National Park

After breakfast, drive south towards Amboseli National Park, located at the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain.
Arrive in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive. Amboseli is famous for its large herds of elephants and the stunning views of Kilimanjaro.
Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Amboseli – Tsavo East or Tsavo West National Park

Early morning breakfast, then drive to Tsavo East (famous for its red elephants, Mudanda Rock, and Yatta Plateau) or Tsavo West (known for Mzima Springs and scenic hills).
Arrive for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive.
Look out for lions, cheetahs, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, and diverse bird species.

Early morning game drive before breakfast.
After breakfast, depart Tsavo and drive towards the coastal region. Enjoy the scenic drive through the rolling hills of Taita and the plains of Voi.
Lunch en route before arriving in Mombasa or Diani Beach in the late afternoon.
Drop-off at your beach hotel — end of your unforgettable safari adventure!
