1 Day Wasini Dhow Adventure

 Hotel Pickup in Diani Beach
Your driver will pick you up from your hotel or resort in Diani Beach. Enjoy a scenic coastal drive through villages, coconut plantations, and lush tropical countryside to Shimoni Village, about 1.5 hours away.

 Arrive at Shimoni Jetty
On arrival at Shimoni, meet your guide and board a traditional wooden dhow. Receive a short safety briefing as you prepare to sail across the beautiful blue waters of the Indian Ocean toward Kisite Marine Park.

 Sail to Kisite Mpunguti Marine Park
Cruise through the Shimoni Channel, keeping an eye out for dolphins that often swim alongside the dhow. The park is known as the “Home of the Dolphins,” with frequent sightings of bottlenose and humpback dolphins.

Snorkeling and Marine Exploration
Arrive at Kisite Mpunguti Marine Park, one of Kenya’s best snorkeling destinations. Dive into the crystal-clear waters to explore vibrant coral gardens teeming with tropical fish, sea turtles, and other marine life.

• Non-swimmers can enjoy the view from the boat or use life jackets and guides for assistance.

• Experienced snorkelers can explore deeper sections with guides.

 Sail to Wasini Island for Lunch
After snorkeling, sail to the nearby Wasini Island, a tranquil and culturally rich coastal village. Here, you’ll enjoy a delicious Swahili-style seafood lunch, often featuring freshly caught crab, fish, rice, coconut sauces, and seasonal fruits (vegetarian options available on request).

Wasini Village & Coral Garden Tour
After lunch, take a short guided village walk through Wasini Island. Learn about the local Swahili culture, visit the coral gardens and mangrove boardwalk, and interact with the friendly island community.

 Return to Shimoni Jetty
Board the dhow once again and sail back to Shimoni. Relax on deck as you enjoy the peaceful ocean views and perhaps spot more dolphins on the way back.

Depart for Diani Beach
Upon arrival at Shimoni Jetty, your driver will be waiting for your return transfer to Diani Beach. You’ll arrive at your hotel or resort by around 5:30 PM, bringing your beautiful coastal adventure to an end.
