TSAVO EAST  NATIONAL PARK

Tsavo East National Park is one of Kenya’s oldest and largest national parks, covering over 13,000 square kilometers of untamed wilderness. Often called the “Theatre of the Wild,” Tsavo East is famous for its vast open savannahs, red-dust elephants, and dramatic landscapes that embody the true essence of African adventure. The park forms part of the great Tsavo ecosystem, together with Tsavo West, and is easily accessible from Mombasa, Diani, and Nairobi.

The park’s main attractions include the Yatta Plateau, the world’s longest lava flow, and the Galana River, which winds through the park, attracting large herds of elephants, buffaloes, and other wildlife. Lugard Falls, a series of rapids and rock formations on the Galana River, offer scenic views and are a popular stop for visitors.

Tsavo East is home to an incredible variety of wildlife, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and over 500 bird species. Its vast plains and sparse vegetation make it excellent for game viewing, while the park’s rugged beauty and tranquility provide a truly authentic safari experience away from the crowds.
